Registered Nurse (RN) - ASU Pre Op Phase II (PER DIEM)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides individualized, professional nursing care to patients in the Operating Room, functioning as a Circulator/Scrub Nurse. Care is provided in accordance with hospital objectives, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as AORN, ASPAN, and SGNA standards. The nurse participates in patient teaching, considers the needs and behavior of patients’ specific age and cultural groups when planning and providing care, and takes part in quality improvement activities. The position is with The Hospital of Central Connecticut, an acute-care community teaching hospital providing inpatient and outpatient general medicine and surgery services, along with a wide variety of specialties. The hospital cares for patients from birth through the end of life.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN license.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-directed in clinical responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to manage and organize multiple clinical priorities.
- Ability to delegate to achieve patient outcomes.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
