About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates and integrates patient care based on the nursing process and directs care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging each patient after providing an optimum level of care.

Requirements

• Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Basic EKG qualification.
• Critical care course and/or emergency care course that includes critical care didactic as part of the course.
• PALS certification within six months.
• TNCC certification within one year for Trauma Resus and TICU only.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise preferred.
• CCRN preferred.
• TCRN preferred.
• ENPC within one year for Trauma Resus; optional for TICU and TSD.
• TNCC within one year is optional for TSD.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Follow infection control procedures at all times.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care according to safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
