About The Position

This role provides direct clinical patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for assigned patients on a per-shift and unit-level basis. The nurse supervises staff to whom care is delegated and supports the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate resource management related to patient care. The position is with Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis, a 479-bed full-service hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current applicable state RN licensure or permit.
• BLS certification required upon hire for all nursing positions.
• ACLS required within three months of hire for Med/Surg/Telemetry RNs, among other listed nursing roles.
• CPI, PALS, and NRP are required within three months of hire for specified departments and roles, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for assigned patients using a multidisciplinary approach.
• Develop plans of care for newly admitted patients and modify them as patient conditions or needs change.
• Deliver designated nursing interventions consistent with the stated medical plan of care.
• Perform procedures in the specialty service area.
• Document nursing care accurately and completely in assigned patient records and on appropriate forms.
• Perform related duties as required.
• Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
