About The Position

North Alabama Shoals Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Rehabilitation Department. The role provides compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment, working with interdisciplinary teams and supporting patients’ physical and emotional well-being. RNs have strong leadership support and autonomy while contributing to patients’ care and recovery.

Requirements

• Current state RN license.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 14 days of hire.
• One year of nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial or spiritual support needs.
• Assess learning needs and provide age- and culture-appropriate education to patients and families.
• Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being.
• Participate in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work other shifts or units as needed; may be assigned on-call.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
