About The Position

This is a Full-Time position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Pre-Admission Testing located at Corona Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Corona, CA. The role reports to the Director of Surgical Services. The Registered Nurse receives patients from the Operating Room and other ancillary departments, monitors vital signs, and makes necessary interventions as prescribed by a surgeon or anesthesiologist. The role may also involve assisting in the transport of patients to outpatient surgery and surgical floors, and assisting with monitoring IV sedation and local cases in the Operating Room. The nurse must be able to provide competent care for patients throughout the lifespan, from infancy through geriatrics. The position description further details that responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation of surgical patients. The overall responsibility is for the nursing care of patients, maintaining standards of nursing practice, achieving optimal outcomes, and supervising all categories of nursing personnel.

Requirements

  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association required.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • One year prior OR experience preferred.
  • N.O.R. preferred.
