About The Position

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is hiring an experienced, full-time PACU Registered Nurse. Perianesthesia nurses work in both PreOp and Recovery, including Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery. The schedule is Monday through Friday, four 10-hour shifts, with shifts varying within coverage hours of 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. On-call coverage is required, including on-call shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is a 182-bed acute care community hospital in western Fairfax County, Northern Virginia. Its Pre-op unit has 20 bays and operates daily from 5:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.; its PACU has 26 bays and operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The hospital offers a range of surgical specialties, including spine, joint replacement, retina, breast, gynecology, general, and bariatric surgery. It performs more than 10,000 surgical cases annually and uses advanced surgical technology.

Requirements

• At least one year of PACU or critical care nursing experience, including ICU or ED experience.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing; nurses with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing must complete a BSN within five years of their start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at start.

Responsibilities
