About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Mother Baby works at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, Illinois, on the Labor and Delivery team. The unit has 9 labor rooms, 2 OB operating rooms, and 1 recovery room, and averages 75 deliveries per month. Experienced labor nurses provide safe, quality care to patients.

The RN provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills to help create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
• Previous Labor & Delivery experience desired.
