About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Mother Baby provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassionate care, and skilled communication while helping create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

The position is based at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, Illinois. The hospital’s Labor and Delivery Unit has 9 labor rooms, 2 OB operating rooms, and 1 recovery room, with an average of 75 deliveries per month. The role is part-time on days, 24 hours per week, with every third weekend and every third holiday scheduled.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
• Previous Labor and Delivery experience desired.
