About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to help create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The position is based on the 8T Mother Baby Nursing Unit at Carolinas Medical Center. The unit has 36 private rooms designed for mothers and newborns, plus a nursery for newborns needing continued medical care after maternal discharge or whose mothers transfer to other units. It provides comprehensive obstetrical care to a diverse, multicultural patient population.
