About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based Mother/Baby team. The role uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making, communicate with colleagues, receive professional development support, and contribute to the organization’s nursing practice. The position is based at Deaconess Hospital, a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
• Certification in a specialty area.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
