About The Position

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Medical Oncology Unit. This is a Flexi-PRN Day Shift position. The unit is a 16-bed facility specializing in the care of Solid Tumor Oncology, Hematology Oncology, and Surgical Oncology patients. The role involves providing services such as Chemotherapy/Biotherapy drug administration, Pre/Post-Surgical Care, Hospice and Palliative Care, and Sickle Cell Management. As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, there are opportunities for learning, professional growth, and advancement into leadership roles or to a higher level of care in various settings. The primary duties include assessing and admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overall patient care responsibility. Requirements

• Certification in Chemotherapy/Biotherapy required after 6-months of hire.
