Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Oncology
About The Position
Community Health Network has an excellent opportunity available within our Medical Oncology nursing team located on the south side of Indianapolis at the South Cancer Center. This role is within the Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center, a partnership between Community Health Network and MD Anderson Cancer Center. This partnership integrates Community’s cancer services with MD Anderson across all five of Community’s sites of cancer care. Medical Oncology is a unit that cares for medical, renal, and oncology patients, fostering growth and development, and promoting a culture of self-care, care of each other, and care of patients and their families. The unit offers paid hands-on training to become a chemo certified Oncology nurse and collaborates closely with outpatient cancer centers, providers, and a dedicated Oncology pharmacist.
Requirements
- Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Minimum of 2 years of acute experience.
Nice To Haves
- Recent Oncology and infusion experience is strongly preferred.
