Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Oncology - Howard
About The Position
Community Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Medical Oncology nursing team at the Howard Oncology Center in Kokomo. This role is within the Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center, a partnership that integrates Community's cancer services with MD Anderson Cancer Center, a global leader in cancer care. The Medical Oncology unit cares for a diverse patient population including medical, renal, and oncology patients, and fosters a culture of growth, development, and self-care. The unit encourages nurses passionate about Oncology to pursue paid, hands-on training to become chemo-certified.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA) OR three years of related professional nursing experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana.
- Recent Oncology experience is strongly preferred.
- Two years of inpatient RN experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for medical, renal, and oncology patients.
- Collaborate with outpatient cancer centers, providers, and dedicated Oncology pharmacists.
- Participate in paid, hands-on training to become a chemo-certified Oncology nurse.
