About The Position

Baystate Health is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for inpatient Med/Surg and Medical/Surgical nursing positions across our healthcare system in Western Massachusetts. As an Inpatient RN, you will care for adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions while developing your clinical judgment, assessment, prioritization, and care coordination skills. Full-time and part-time day shift opportunities are available. Our inpatient Medical/Surgical units care for patients with a broad range of acute and complex medical and surgical needs. Depending on the unit and location, Med/Surg RNs may care for patients requiring: Medical/Surgical care, Acute medical management, Surgical and post-operative care, Telemetry and cardiac monitoring, Neurological care, Renal care, Orthopedic care, Oncology-related care, Observation-level care, Higher-acuity Medical/Surgical care. Specific patient populations and clinical responsibilities vary by unit. Baystate Health offers inpatient nursing opportunities across different hospital environments and communities throughout Western Massachusetts. Depending on the position, you may have the opportunity to work in a community hospital or academic medical center environment, with different patient populations, levels of complexity, specialties, and team structures. Your specific hospital, unit, patient population, schedule, and clinical assignment will be identified during the hiring process.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing (Required)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Other
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support - Other
  • Registered Nurse - State of Massachusetts
