About The Position

This position is for an Inpatient Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical unit at UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. The role is 90% FTE, working from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Additional compensation may include evening, night, and weekend shift differentials, overtime pay, and on-call pay.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois.
Basic Life Support/CPR Certification.
Must possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence.
No minimum experience required for general Med Surg.
For 911 Call Center Triage Only: 2 years experience in an Emergency Room setting or Psychiatric Nursing setting.
For 911 Call Center Triage Only: Community nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

Specialty certification in area of concentration.
For 9th Floor Only: ACLS certification within two years of hire.
For 911 Call Center Triage Only: Community nursing experience.
