About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse II who reports to the Health and Wellness Manager. It is a salaried exempt position responsible for supervising the day-to-day wellness clinic and nursing staff. The role involves working with the Health and Wellness Manager to ensure proper staffing, sharing on-call responsibilities, and assisting in the medical care and treatment of students. This includes taking vital signs, dressing wounds, assisting with physicals, administering medication, and maintaining patient charts. The job is with the Job Corps program, which provides career training for young people.

Requirements

• State Registered Nurse’s License and one year’s experience as a practicing Registered Nurse.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice in the state of Georgia.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer two or more years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Health and Wellness Manager (RN) and is a salaried exempt position.
• Supervises the day-to-day wellness clinic as well as the nursing staff.
• Works with the Health and Wellness Manager to ensure proper staffing of the wellness clinic.
• Share on-call responsibilities with the Health & Wellness Manager.
• Assists in the medical care and treatment of students.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, dresses wounds and assist with student physicals.
• Administers specified medication and annotates time and amount on patient’s chart.
• Assembles, sterilizes and uses various medical equipment and supplies.
• Maintains charts for trainees seen by medical personnel.
