About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN II) in the Resource Pool is a full-time position working nights. This role involves floating between Observation, PCU/CSU, and Med Surg units. The position emphasizes basic human needs, human respect, appreciation of unique meanings, affiliation needs, mutual problem solving, attentive reassurance, encouraging manner, and creating a healing environment. Texas Health HEB is a 252-bed acute-care hospital serving the DFW mid cities area since 1973, specializing in various services including women's, perioperative, heart and vascular, med surg, intermediate care, oncology, and emergency medicine. The hospital is ANCC Magnet Designated, Joint Commission-certified in Chest Pain, a Primary Stroke Center, Level III Trauma Center, Level II NICU, and Level III for maternal care.
Requirements
- Nursing Diploma (nursing) required
- Associate's Degree Nursing required
- 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
- RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (if required for float dept) 90 days required
- CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required
- NIHSS- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 60 days required
