About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. About the Southwest Resource Pool RN Role – Night Shift: As a Night Shift Resource Pool RN, you’ll be a key member of every team you support—floating to areas of greatest need to ensure safe staffing and exceptional patient care across multiple facilities. This role offers exposure to a diverse range of specialties and patient populations, allowing you to build a broad and versatile skill set. You’ll work alongside experienced teams while developing adaptability, confidence, and strong clinical judgment. The Resource Pool offers a 10% float differential, along with night shift differential, and a flexible holiday and weekend scheduling structure designed to support work‑life balance. You’ll also have opportunities to cross‑train into specialty areas such as Women’s Services, Labor & Delivery, Acute Care, and Intensive Care, with the potential for additional financial incentives as you expand your skills.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a BSN within five years of start date
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verified)
- Strong adaptability, communication, and critical‑thinking skills
- Interest in working across multiple specialties and facilities
- Previous experience in acute care or specialty units
- Prior night shift experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence‑based nursing care across multiple units and facilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Adapt quickly to new environments, teams, and patient care needs
- Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and interdisciplinary partners
- Monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
- Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and safe transitions of care
- Uphold professional and ethical nursing standards while representing the Resource Pool team
