About The Position
Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Resource Pool. This position offers opportunities to excel and grow nursing skills in various specialties, with potential for leadership advancement. Primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overall patient care responsibility. Requirements
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
- RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree
- 18 months of recent experience in their specialty area i.e. ICU, OR, etc. to be eligible for the Resource Pool
- Nursing Care Partners as per the Sentara Nursing Care Partner Job Profile
Responsibilities
- Assessing/admitting patients
- Rounding checks
- Giving medications
- Talking with family members
- Being responsible for the overall care of your patients
- Work assigned shifts in all units in their division of choice
- Enter at least 24 hours prescheduled time per calendar month in API
- Schedule 8 hours on a weekend shift and 8 hours on an off-shift
