About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Resource Float Pool – Med/Surg Tele – Full-Time, Nights. This position is part of the Central Staffing department for an 833-bed MAGNET facility. The role supports a Level I Trauma Center and Primary Heart Attack Center (PHAC). The department offers self-scheduling for work/life balance and opportunities for educational and career growth, along with a robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team. Texas Health Fort Worth is an 851-bed, Magnet-designated, full-service hospital serving the Fort Worth community since 1930, offering advanced care in cardiovascular services, high-risk obstetrics, gynecology, neurosciences, sports medicine, and emergency medicine. Requirements

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required
• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support - within 90 days of hire Required
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire Required

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• Float Pool experience as well as Med/Surg and Tele experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process: assesses the patient, plans the care of the patient, intervenes as appropriate, evaluates the effectiveness of intervention.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
