About The Position
Join Anna Jaques Hospital’s Critical Care team as a Registered Nurse in the ICU. The nurse monitors patients’ clinical status, interprets clinical data and diagnostic tests, and acts in accordance with those interpretations and physician orders. The role includes providing care to monitored patients, responding to emergencies, maintaining proficiency in unit-specific competencies and mandatory requirements, and completing competency checklists. The schedule is 36 hours per week with weekend and holiday rotation. The role is per diem with rotating shifts.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Massachusetts RN licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Previous critical care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor clinical status, including monitor patterns, vital signs, and patient signs and symptoms.
- Interpret clinical data.
- Act in accordance with clinical data interpretation and physician orders.
- Demonstrate proficiency in caring for monitored patients.
- Interpret diagnostic tests as they relate to patient care.
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations.
- Demonstrate clinical proficiency in unit-specific competencies and mandatory requirements.
- Complete criterion-referenced competency checklists.
