About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor Opportunity - Every other Weekend Days (6:30am to 7:00pm) Cumberland Hall Hospital is a 97 bed, licensed, acute psychiatric hospital located in beautiful Hopkinsville, KY. Cumberland Hall features individual units for youth, adults and active-duty military, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 1500 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Cumberland Hall Hospital. Join our team and lead with purpose—supervising nursing staff, ensuring quality documentation, managing unit staffing based on patient acuity, and skillfully handling crisis situations to maintain a safe and supportive care environment.

Requirements

Licensed in the State of Kentucky or Compact Licensure as a Registered Nurse
associate or bachelor level education

Nice To Haves

1 year behavioral health experience
1 year supervisory experience

Responsibilities

Supervises employees of the Nursing Units to ensure assigned duties are complete to include documentation in the patient records.
Monitors employees’ performance on an ongoing basis, providing regular informal feedback on work quality and quantity and on conduct.
Staffs the hospital according to acuity assuring the units are staffed appropriately and predicts and executes needed adjustments as they occur.
Intervenes early in potential crisis situations; demonstrates ability to defuse combative or aggressive patients.
