Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor

About The Position
Centra Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor to provide leadership, operational oversight, and clinical support in its new behavioral health hospital. The House Supervisor serves as a key resource for nursing staff, helps ensure high-quality patient care, and supports hospital operations during assigned shifts. The hospital is a new 72-bed behavioral health facility opening in 2026, providing evidence-based, compassionate care for a broad range of mental health concerns.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
- Minimum two years of nursing experience.
- At least one year of inpatient behavioral health nursing experience.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire and before patient contact.
- De-escalation certification required within 30 days of hire and before orientation completion.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- One year of nursing supervisory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support nursing and clinical teams.
- Coordinate staffing and ensure safe patient care coverage.
- Serve as the administrative leader during assigned shifts.
- Assist with staff coaching, development, and performance management.
- Support admissions, patient care activities, and operational problem-solving.
- Promote quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
