Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor
About The Position
Centra Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor to provide leadership, operational oversight, and clinical support at its new behavioral health hospital. The supervisor serves as a key resource for nursing staff, helps ensure high-quality patient care, and supports hospital operations during assigned shifts. Centra Behavioral Health Hospital is a new 72-bed behavioral health facility scheduled to open in 2026. It provides evidence-based, compassionate care for patients with a wide range of mental health concerns and is part of Lifepoint Health.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Active Virginia single-state RN license or compact RN license; if relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence before employment begins.
- At least two years of nursing experience.
- At least one year of inpatient behavioral health nursing experience.
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire and before patient contact.
- De-escalation certification within 30 days of hire and before orientation completion.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- One year of nursing supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support nursing and clinical teams.
- Coordinate staffing and ensure safe patient care coverage.
- Serve as the administrative leader during assigned shifts.
- Assist with staff coaching, development, and performance management.
- Support admissions, patient care activities, and operational problem-solving.
- Promote quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
