About The Position

The Endoscopy staff presently consists of a Nurse Director, Assistant Director, Clinical Instructor, Office Manager, two Charge Nurses, 26 Registered Nurses that are practicing with a current Texas License, 10 Endoscopy Technicians, one Porter, two Health Unit Coordinators, and 5 Office Assistants working directly under the Vice President for ICU and Endoscopy Services. Our mission is to be a leader in providing quality patient care by promoting excellence and innovation in Endoscopy. We use a multi-disciplinary approach to nursing care.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License
• Must maintain a current BLS, ACLS, & PALS certification from American Heart Association
• BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Acute Care Experienced Required.

Responsibilities

• Registered professional nurse who assesses, implements or delegates, plans, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in accordance with established philosophy, providing and directing patient care for a group of patients.
• Relates effectively with other shifts/departments for optimal continuity of care.
