About The Position

The Toledo Clinic's Family Practice Department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to provide both clinical and administrative support. The hours are Monday-Thursday (8:30-5:30) and Friday (8:30-2:00). The clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants, payable within 30 days of hire to employees with active and verified credentials. For those without a current credential, the bonus is payable once obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus. The Medical Assistant will assist providers with patient treatment, prepare patients for providers, and perform various clerical duties under the supervision of the Office Manager.

Requirements

• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA).
• Medicare Exclusion List.
• Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school.

• Clinical medical assisting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
• Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
• Escorting patients to exam room.
• Preparing exam rooms.
• Preparing patient for providers (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
• Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
• At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
• Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
• Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.
• Administering injections.
