About The Position

This is a Full Time Nights position for a Registered Nurse in the Float Pool, specifically covering PCCU/Telemetry units. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care, working with a multi-disciplinary team, and utilizing cutting-edge medical technology. The position is at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, a renowned hospital with over half a century of service, specializing in cancer care, cardiology, neurosciences, women’s services, and emergency medicine. The hospital is a designated Magnet hospital and recognized for its Comprehensive Stroke Center, Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, and advanced women’s health programs.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • 1 year of Progressive Care Cardiac Unit or Telemetry experience preferred
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
  • NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program For staff floating to areas where they will be delivering care and resuscitating neonates required within 90 days of hire
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year of Progressive Care Cardiac Unit or Telemetry experience preferred
