About The Position

The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) at Texas Health Plano will have the opportunity to work in a variety of units, offering a great chance for educational and career growth. This role provides self-scheduling to help with work-life balance and is part of an engaged leadership team. Texas Health Plano is a Level II Trauma facility, a four-time Magnet Designated Facility, and home to the only AACN Beacon Gold Adult Intensive Care Unit in the DFW area.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or Associate’s degree in nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • 1 year of experience a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting required
  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of Progressive Stepdown, Progressive Care or Intermediate (Tele) Care experience as a Clinical Nurse highly preferred
