About The Position

This is an internal 13-week assignment position for a Registered Nurse (RN) working day shifts. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients on a nursing unit. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. The position may also involve Charge Nurse duties, which require ACLS certification.

Requirements

• Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Nice To Haves

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Planning, coordinating, and providing patient care.
• Interdisciplinary planning.
• Discharge planning.
• Patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Accessing community resources.
• Performing other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse duties (ACLS certification required).
