About The Position

The Registered Nurse in Critical Care works in CC-E, a 24-bed unit caring for medical and surgical critical-care patients. The role plans, provides, and directs patient care and teaching using the nursing process and in accordance with patient-care standards and physician orders. The nurse serves as a liaison among physicians, patients, and families and collaborates with other health-care team members. The nurse also assists with orienting new personnel and may participate in health center and department committees. Care must be appropriate to patients’ chronological age, developmental age, and/or psychosocial maturity. Experienced nurses are generally best suited for these openings; the department is rarely able to take new graduates. The position has no call and no rotating shifts.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
Previous experience in the specific nursing area.
Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications are required.
