About The Position

Southwest General Health Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its 24-bed Critical Care unit, which cares for medical and surgical critical patients. The nurse plans, provides, and directs patient care and teaching using the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. The role serves as a liaison among physicians, patients, and families, and collaborates with other healthcare team members. The nurse assists with orienting new personnel and may participate in health center and department committees. Care must be appropriate to patients’ chronological age, developmental age, and/or psychosocial maturity. The department notes that experienced nurses are generally best suited to these openings and is rarely able to accommodate new graduates. The position has no call and no rotating shifts.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current license from the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
Previous experience in the specific nursing area is required.
Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS.
