About The Position
Firestone Surgery Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator to join our team at our state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center in Columbiana, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated RN looking for a PRN, Part-Time or Full-Time role in a multi-specialty and fast-paced surgical setting.
Requirements
- Must possess a current Ohio license as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of two years OR nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
Nice To Haves
- Previous ASC experience
- Circulating experience in the following specialties: Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gastroenterology and Plastics
- PALS certification
Responsibilities
- Assess patient and family needs in order to provide quality care to assigned patients.
- Confirms that proper techniques and procedures are used according to Standards of Practice and organizational policies and procedures and prepares the Operating Room accordingly.
- Responsible for efficient and effective patient care and quality improvement.
- Effectively organizes time, equipment, supplies and personnel to provide efficient case management.
- Considers cost containment by using supplies economically and in effective turnover time.
- Maintains an adequate inventory for assigned area, including, but not limited to, equipment and supplies and assists with the ordering, receiving and storage of supplies.
- Demonstrates a professional manner.
- Participates in Quality Committee(s), Safety Training programs and completes required competencies
- Maintains current knowledge, certification and licensure
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.
