The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care according to the nursing process. This role involves directing, delegating, and coordinating all nursing care provided by other healthcare personnel such as LPNs, CNAs, Patient Care Companions, and Unit Clerks, ensuring consistency with their roles, responsibilities, and skill levels. Assignments must be performed appropriately to the age and developmental level of the patient population served. Halifax Health, a cornerstone of the community, serves Volusia and Flagler counties, providing a comprehensive continuum of health care services. This network includes a tertiary hospital, two community hospitals, urgent care clinics, psychiatric services, a cancer treatment center, hospice care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation centers, primary care clinics, women’s health clinics, pediatric care clinics, and a home health care agency. Halifax Health is recognized for offering the area’s only Level II Trauma Center, Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, Center for Transplant Services, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Child and Adolescent Behavioral Services, complete Neurosurgical Services, OB Emergency Department, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
