About The Position

DLP Cardiac Partners is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network with facilities coast to coast. This dynamic position is responsible for assisting the cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular interventions on adult patients. Candidate must be focused on high quality patient centered care through assessment and management of cardiac patients with good communication and interpersonal skills. Registered nurse will be able to circulate, monitor and/or scrub diagnostic and interventional procedures as well as some pre and post care.

Requirements

• Licensed RN in NC or compact state with an unencumbered license.
• BLS certification required
• ACLS required within 90-days
• Minimum of two years of critical care experience or cardiac catheterization experience and working with hemodynamic waveforms and vaso-active medications required.
• Ability to read and recognize EKGs and dysrhythmias required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
