Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The nurse uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to help create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum of care. The position is based at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center in Downers Grove, Illinois. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week, with weekend and holiday call coverage. The role requires a 30-minute on-call response time and call coverage seven days per month, including weekend commitments. Occasional coverage at the ASC location in Naperville may be required.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ICU, ED, or Cath Lab RN experience.
- Ability to meet the 30-minute on-call response-time requirement.
