About The Position

ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Cardiology Short Stay Unit (CSSU) at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. CSSU is a 14-bed, cardiac-specific inpatient and observation intermediate-care area providing scheduled and emergency care and procedures around the clock. The unit accommodates patients who need emergency cardiac care and testing. The role is full time and works 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekends and holidays as required by the department. The successful candidate may be eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus paid over two years.

Requirements

At least one year of medical/surgical experience in an inpatient setting.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
BSN required, or willingness and ability to obtain one within three years from the date of hire.
Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware.

Cardiac and/or step-down experience is strongly preferred.
