About The Position

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the High Acuity Burns Trauma team at Vancouver General Hospital. This is a training opportunity focused on enhancing nursing practice and strengthening the quality of care. The role involves providing nursing care to acutely ill patients with complex, acute, and often co-existing chronic illnesses, working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. Requirements

  • Approximately two years recent acute medical/surgical experience upon critical care program full-time start date.
  • Successfully complete the post-basic training education prior to working in the Department.
  • Agree to remain with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a regular status nurse in the area of nursing applicable to the education program for which they are hired for at least 18 months subsequent to completing training.
  • Provide past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections as per Ministry of Health policy.
  • Provide information as part of the onboarding process for new hires and appointments.
