About The Position

Inova Mt. Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health team. This role will be part-time night shift 7:00 pm – 7:00 am with a rotating weekend. The demand for behavioral health services is growing, leading to the expansion of the 30-bed behavioral health unit to 50 beds in mid-2023. The new 20-bed unit is designed with the specific needs of this specialized population in mind, and the current unit has also been upgraded and modernized. The IMVH behavioral health team received the 2021 Guardian of Excellence Award for Patient Experience from Press Ganey, recognizing excellence in patient care. Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is a 237-bed hospital offering convenient, state-of-the-art care in a community environment, situated on 26 acres with serene gardens. Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
• Education: BSN or ADN - If ADN then complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association required.
• RN licensed, and eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
• Proficient computer skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient behavioral health experience preferred
