About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Acute Care for Elderly (ACE) Unit at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. The ACE unit provides compassionate, evidence-based care for older adults in a safe and supportive environment. As a NICHE-designated and Age-Friendly Health System, the unit prioritizes dignity, independence, and holistic well-being for every patient. The team works collaboratively to deliver personalized treatment plans that address medical needs, ensuring the highest standards of geriatric care. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. It also involves using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • At least one year RN experience
