About The Position

The Toledo Clinic's Rheumatology Department, Arthritis Associates of NW Ohio, is seeking a Registered Nurse to work on a contingent basis. This position will be scheduled as needed to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. The role involves assisting physicians with patient treatment, preparing patients for physicians, educating patients, and providing general patient care. The nurse will work under the supervision of the Office Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Nursing with prior infusion experience.
• Current RN license.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for infusions per physician orders.
• Prepare patient for infusion, take vitals initially & periodically during infusion while monitoring patient.
• Administer infusion medications.
• Educate the patient on procedures, medications, etc.
• Communicate with physicians regarding patient symptoms, any possible reaction, dosing, etc.
• Answer and return calls regarding patient care that doesn’t require physician input.
• Complete and ensure accuracy of patient charts.
• Other duties as assigned.
