About The Position
This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Psychiatry, reopening a unit. The role involves providing acute, short-term care for stabilization, allowing patients to return home or move to a lower level of care. The facility also offers long-term treatment and educational support for young people at the residential level. The position requires the nurse to be open to treating all age groups, including Child Adolescent & Adult patients.
Requirements
- 1 year recent (in last year) experience in Behavioral Health/Psych.
- Proficiency in Paper Charting.
- Must be open to All Ages, Child Adolescent & Adult.
- Must work every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Provide acute, short-term care for stabilization.
- Facilitate patient return home or step down to a lower level of care.
- Provide long-term treatment and focused educational support.
- Treat patients across all age groups: Children (Ages 5-12), Adolescents & Teenagers (Ages 13-17), Adults (Ages 18+), and Seniors (Ages 65+).
- Manage care for patients with Behavioral Disorders, Memory Disorders, Mental Health Disorders, and Mood Disorders.
- Work in an Inpatient setting.
- Utilize paper charting.
Benefits
- Pay Rate $1800 total weekly gross - $50/hour($20/hour W-2 taxable , $30/hour non taxable stipend)
