About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking passionate, experienced nurses to provide patient-centered care on Ball Memorial’s 18-bed adult progressive care unit in Muncie, Indiana. The unit cares for patients transitioning between progressive and medical levels of care, with common diagnoses including pulmonary edema, respiratory failure, GI hemorrhage, heart failure, sepsis, stroke, respiratory conditions requiring chronic ventilator support, and renal failure. The Progressive Care Unit uses the Team-Based Acuity Adaptable Model (TBAAM) and an interdisciplinary care team that includes nurses, patient care assistants, a unit secretary, an RN case manager, a geographically placed physician, a pharmacist, and a dietician. IU Health describes its nursing culture as supportive of team members’ education, growth, and professional goals, and highlights meaningful community service through the unit-based council.
