About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - Gastro/Endo - Procedure to provide care, including patient triage, procedure preparation, intra-procedure care, and post-procedure recovery phases. You will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team and collaborate in the development, execution, and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care or critical pathway. This is a 70% FTE position with 8-hour day/evening shifts, Monday - Friday, with start times between 6:30 am - 10:30 am, and includes on-call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months
  • 6 months of relevant clinical nursing experience
  • Specific to EP Lab- Previous moderate sedation experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
  • Additional years of relevant clinical nursing experience Preferred
  • Prior involvement in clinical procedures in area of specialty, including successful work or involvement in other hospital-wide project work Preferred
  • Experience in an academic medical setting Preferred
  • Specific to Gastro/Endo & Generations - Previous moderate sedation experience Preferred
  • Certification in area of specialty Preferred
