This PRN position requires 3-4 weeks of training Monday-Thursday before going PRN. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care of patients in accordance with established standards and policies. The position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered, participates in direct patient care, and maintains a safe environment. The nurse will supervise and direct patient care in an Operating Room, ensuring proper techniques and practices are followed. They must comply with HIPAA regulations, understand patient rights, and perform duties ethically and legally within their scope of practice. The role includes supervising other personnel, reporting unusual occurrences, coordinating patient care, maintaining medical records, participating in continuing education, following physician orders, and contributing to a healthy work environment. The nurse will also assist in training new staff and work collaboratively with other departments.
