Registered Nurse (PRN: PRE-OP/PACU)
About The Position
McIver Clinic has been a trusted leader in urological care in Jacksonville since 1921. With multiple locations throughout the greater Jacksonville area and more than 27 providers, we deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across the full spectrum of urology, from minimally minimally invasive procedures to complex surgery and oncology. We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and clinically skilled Registered Nurse to join our team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate provides exceptional patient care, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, maintains high infection-control standards, and works effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Operating Room Circulator: 1 year required
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Urology: 1 year preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the clinic and operating room setting.
- Serve as the circulating RN during surgical procedures, including patient positioning and perioperative nursing care.
- Administer IVs, obtain vital signs, and collect specimens.
- Review patient records, obtain relevant clinical information, and ensure accurate and thorough documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinical staff to support safe and efficient patient flow.
- Prepare and maintain the clinic and operating room environment, including supplies, equipment, and infection-control standards.
- Provide patient education and support before, during, and after procedures.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition and communicate relevant information to providers.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, surgical staff, and other departments to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered environment.
