About The Position

This Registered Nurse position will perform specialized nursing and medical treatment and deliver care to developmentally and intellectually disabled individuals, many of whom are also medically fragile. This position carries out nursing care plans based on the diagnoses and pertinent medical information, and individual needs. The Registered nurse will independently carry out the nursing care process and will set up an environment to assist individuals in obtaining the maximum level of functioning and/or recovery. They will administer medication, participate in interdisciplinary team process, assist in coordinating care for the individuals, and work closely with the medical doctors, psychologist, social worker, recreational therapist, dietician, and other professionals to assist the individual in meeting their maximum potential for independence and function while providing the best quality of life possible. Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
