About The Position
As an RN Phone Triage Nurse at Indiana Heart Physicians, you will thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment. You will efficiently answer calls, listen, and determine the best course of action to ensure each patient is helped pleasantly and properly. Indiana Heart Physicians (IHP) has been delivering leading cardiovascular care since 1978, offering comprehensive services through board-certified cardiologists across multidisciplinary clinics. IHP provides advanced cardiac imaging and participates in research and clinical trials to bring patients the latest innovations in heart care. Requirements
- Associate's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
- 1 year Nursing/Patient Care in acute care or ambulatory settings
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) certification required - American Heart Association
- Registered Nurse (RN) license - State Licensing Board

Responsibilities
- Respond to patient calls and electronic messages, prioritize concerns based on clinical urgency, provide education within scope of practice, and ensure timely resolution of patient needs
- Facilitate care coordination by scheduling appropriate appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, processing prescription refills, and supporting continuity of care across the patient journey
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient communications, clinical assessments, and care interventions in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards
