About The Position

The office nurse serves as a liaison between physicians, extenders, patients, and hospitals. The nurse is accountable for delivering quality nursing care to designated patients according to individual patient needs, physicians’ orders, PHS policies, and standards of practice, by telephone and/or through direct contact. The role collaborates with management, physicians, and coworkers to provide excellent patient service and maintains confidentiality regarding patients, significant others, and healthcare team members.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current nursing licensure in the state in which the nurse practices.
• CPR certification.
• Two years of experience in a medical setting; specialty experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Medical terminology and pharmacology background recommended.
• Essential computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records recommended.

Responsibilities
