About The Position

This is an 8-week assignment for a Registered Nurse in the PCU (Progressive Care Unit). The position requires 1.5 years of experience. First-time nurses and locals are not accepted. The role requires floating to Med Surg, where the nurse may take up to 6 patients. The nurse must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Guaranteed hours are based on shift length: 8 and 10 hr. shifts offer 40 hrs. in one workweek, 3, 12 hr. shifts offer 36 hrs. in one workweek, and 4, 12 hr. shifts offer 48 hrs. in one workweek. The facility is a Short-Term Acute Care hospital with a total of 731 staffed beds across multiple units (A: 194, B: 210, N: 153, W: 174). The required scrub color is black pants and a red top. Charting is done in Cerner. Parking is free.

Requirements

• 1.5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Must be aware and comfortable with an 8-week assignment.
• Must work 2/3 major holidays.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the PCU.
• Float to Med Surg as needed, potentially managing up to 6 patients.
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Adhere to the specified scrub color (black pants, red top).
