Registered Nurse - PCU
About The Position
This position focuses on the cardiac patient, including those with acute coronary syndrome, pre and post cardiac catheterization with and without intervention, rule out myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and syncope. Responsibilities include managing patients with chest pain, stable STEMI, NSTEMI, pre and post cardiac cath lab procedures, new onset and chronic A-fib, Tikosyn loading, and pre and post EP lab procedures for pacemaker and/or ICD placement. A secondary population includes new onset and chronic heart failure patients, as well as overflow for other Progressive Care Level patients. The role requires the use of rapid response teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- Cardiac Telemetry experience required
- PCU experience required
- Proficiency with TR Bands
- Proficiency with Central Lines
- Proficiency with PICC lines
- Proficiency with CVP monitoring
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
